| Brooks Heating & Air Conditioning was founded by O. L. Brooks, his wife Lois and 2-employees in 1954. They were located on Traffic St in Bossier City, La. A few years later Mr. Brooks acquired the metal building next door. This enabled him to expand his business to include duct cleaning, a sheet metal shop, much needed warehouse space to stock and store HVAC equipment, and enlarge the work space for his 5-7 employees.
In 1976, Larry and Ruby Brooks Little purchased the company from "Pops", and the company thrived. Larry groomed the company from small buildings and only a hand full of employees to what it is today. Larry is "the man with the beard" in all of Brooks Heating & Air Conditioning's commercials.
Today Brooks Heating & Air Conditioning is the largest Lennox Dealer in the state of Louisiana. Brooks has grown so much, largely because of it's leadership and loyal employees. Now it's an Employee Owned Company (ESOP). Brooks has since moved from Traffic St, today we are located at 106 Grigsby Dr. Bossier City, La with over 20,000 square feet of warehouse space; 3,000 square feet of office space, a fleet of 30 vehicles, and a fireplace showroom of 15 display units and more!
At Brooks Heating & Air Conditioning we take extreme pride in our work and always go the extra mile for our customers. That's why we have enhanced our Contracting experience with an engineering department; We've improved the speed at which we can complete a Load Study with computer programming, (We actually draw out your home or business, run a load study that calculates the exact tonage of heat or air conditioning required, calculate how many CFM's it will take to deliver the air required, and design the duct system.) We have enhanced our Duct Cleaning Services with a Certified Indoor Environmentalist and Certified Mold Remediator; We make excellent use of our knowledge and experience in gas furnaces by expanding into fireplaces.
